Brief Environmental Status of MADANAPALLI:

The Madanapalle was built in 1618 AD by Sri Ahobila Naidu. It was constituted to Municipal level with effect from 1-4-1961, with an area of 14.20 sqkms covering 3 Revenue villages, Kammapalle, Bandameedakammapalle, Madanapalle urban area and 3 hamlets of ponnetipalemvizSugalithanda, Nakkaladinne and Madanapalle. Madanapalle is one of the Revenue divisional head quarters in Chitttoor District.

The town is only urban centre for vast region covering about 175 villages depending on for marketing their agriculture produces and providing their consumer needs. The Municipality is having 17 Revenue wards divided in to 35 election wards with 32 notified poor settlements and 10 non notified poor settlements.. The population of the town is 99967 as per 2001 census and 135169 as per 2011 Census
